I was hoping to post pictures of the small fry from Memorial Day, but as I forgot to take any... ;0P
We've had a fun, busy holiday weekend. Mr. B. was off Saturday, which is always a treat, and even though he spent the day working outside, and I spent the day baking, it was nice to have him around. As just mentioned, I spent the day baking- rolls, brownies, zucchini cake, and roasting a chicken. The rolls and chicken we had Sunday when Mr.B's mom came for dinner, and the desserts I took to my parents Saturday evening for the Welcome Home party for my sister Anna, who has been in Mozambique for the last year.
Sunday, my MIL came over after church and we had the roast chicken (I'll post the recipe later), and salad, rolls, and rice for dinner. She stayed for most of the day and we had ice cream for a late dessert.(Edy's loaded Butter Finger-YUMMY!) After she left, we sat out on the porch while Audrey ran around and played. I baked a loaf of Lemon Thyme Tea Bread before bed to take to my sister-in-laws for breakfast. Monday morning, we went to my husband's sister's house for breakfast. She lives on the road the local parade lines up on, so after breakfast we walked down to the main road and met up with my family to watch the parade.
Way to much candy, and about an hour later, we headed back to her house and all the kids ran around the back yard for awhile.
We headed home for lunch, then Mr.B. and the little ones napped, and I put the kitchen back in order and watched some reruns of M*A*S*H, 'til we left for our afternoon cookout at my brothers future in- laws(also longtime family friends).
And that is it. Other than Audrey finally deciding she wants to use the potty(hallelujah!), not a whole lot going on. And now that I've probably bored anyone still reading to tears, I need to go take care of 2 crying children. Tootles!

Actually I didn't find it boring.
And I wish you did take pictures on Monday, bacause Adrey was so stinkin' cute with her little hat and sunglasses and red dress.
"Not a whole lot going on"!? Just reading everything you accomplished the past few days made me exhausted;) It must be so fun to live near your family and be able to create so many lasting memories.
Hey Cara, Audrey is spelled with a U in there too. (little sisters sometimes...)
New Mom-
After I posted, I realized how silly that statement sounded! Oh well.
Yes, it is nice living by our families, we are almost exactly half-way between his sister and his parents, and about 15-20 minutes from mine.
oops, I know that, and you knew I know that. I'm sorry Audrey, I know your name is spelled with a U, auntie Cara was jst typing to fast.
