Show and Tell: My Christmas Village

This is my first Show and Tell ( Kelli at Theres No Place Like Home sponsers them- sorry I don't know how to link!), and I've decided to share my Christmas Village.
I made this the first year we were married, and my poor husband probably thought his wife had gone crazy, saving cereal box she could get her hands on!
The directions were in a Martha Stewart Christmas book, and I love miniatures, so this was a fun project. After being painted the buildings were all sprinkled with glitter, and they sparkle so beautifully!
Here, you see them displayed among the books in our antique secretary. I debated a batting snow scene, but decided I like them just as they are with only the books.
Thanks for stopping by!

My favorite house.

What a beautiful way to bless your families home at Christmas. And also a great way to recycle to boot! God Bless You and your family.

They look just as good in person! ;-)

Thanks for the birthday card - I got it yesterday! I was beginning to panic about the round tu-its...I have lots of projects I've been putting off and I needed some motivation. LOL

Mrs. Bonnie, I love your library of old books; they are beautiful! Once again you astound me. I can't believe you made those cute little miniatures with old cereal boxes. You need to move to CO and be my neighbor. Tell Topps I said that too!

Those are so neat. I would love to know how you made them. Or what Martha Stewart book you got it in.

Wow, you made these??? What talent! Of course, I've always known you have talent. :)

And I agree with some of the other commenters...the setting with the old books is great, and I'd love to settle down and read some of those! :)
