The Kidlets and I went this morning along with my parents, 2 of my brothers and three of my sisters. Wow. It was packed but did I do good!

Not to bad! I'm going to try drying some of the blueberries, cherries, apples and maybe a few peaches, otherwise, guess what I'm doing tomorrow?
*Wash Tub: $3 -it has a hole in the bottom, and was marked $4. The guy told me he would give it to me for $3 before I even picked it up to look at it. SOLD! Its sitting out front right now awaiting dirt and flowers. I have always wanted one for this purpose!
* Vintage colander with the holes in a star pattern: $1- I think my bananas will be moving into this on the counter.
*Big vintage silver round pie or cake taker *with* a section to put ice to keep things cold: $1.
*Enamel ware pot; $3. I think this is going to go on the counter to keep a days supply of wash cloths and towels in the kitchen. Lid off.
*2 vintage muffin tins $2- for either jewelry or Honeys and my hair stuff.
* 2 cute little boys overalls patterns: $0.50- they are the same, but 2 different size groups.
* 2 vintage Little Golden Books: $1- The Saggy Baggy Elephant and Home for a Bunny.
I finally made myself leave, as Muffin was getting hungry, and it was getting close to nap-time for the babies, so I might have missed some other treasures, but I am SOOOO excited about what I bought!
Now, off to make room for a ton of fruit in the fridge.

I'm so happy you got high-speed internet! After this, you'll never be able to go back to dial-up! Cute finds! Be sure to post your finished decorations and what you did with all that fruit!
Looks like you'll be adding a few items to your home canning sidebar. I am trying very hard not to covet your wash tub. I've been looking at the local flea markets for that same item with the same purpose in mind.
Good Job!!!
I'm drooling over all of that fruit. If I had all of that, I wouldn't be canning it; I'd be munching on it all day long (and probably wake up in the night and eat some, too). Yum! :)
Your comment this morning made me laugh. No, I didn't have the baby last night...but I thought I might! I was SO uncomfortable. Things settled down after I went to bed though, so here I am, still pregnant. :) It would have been quite early to have the baby, and I'd really rather wait until July (so the kids' birthdays are spread out a little and occur in different months). But whew, I hope I don't feel that uncomfortable every night until the birth! :)
alright alright.
TOTALLY jealous.
like seriously totally jealous.
about the fruit
AND the TREASURES (and they ARE treasures!)
I got your catalog yesterday and a lightbulb went off about Leemans. Funny thing is, Matt saw the catalog and said "Oh WOW! A LEEMAN'S catalog!!" and snatched it. He knew all ABOUT it. (WHERE HAVE I BEEN?!?!)
Anyway, in your note you said "since we are cut from the same cloth" and I really liked that phrase and it was brought back to mind when I read this post.
We really are like we were separated from birth.
What I wouldn't give to have a junk saling party with you! or heck,
even spend the day canning!
Good luck with all those fruits. Yum. We are practically RED here with all our strawberry eating. yum.
Yum, Cortlands....they make delicious apple sauce. I used to make a hundred quarts a year when my kiddles were growing up. They were allowed to get a jar and share it pretty much anytime they wanted as long as they were able to eat at meal time. Best snack around, and they didn't mind how healty it was for them. LOL Enjoy your bounty. This is my first 'visit' and I am enjoying it.

DJ- Thanks for stopping!
"Though shall not covet." Doh!! I saw a tub like that last week-- $20--too much for me! I'd love the enamel pot. I've been looking for one for cheap to keep the kitchen compost in before it heads outside to the big pile. What fun treasures!!! My bananas are in a vintage colander, too. It sets on my kitchen scale. Great job shopping and happy canning to you, too!
