Today

It is amazing how quickly the kitchen can heat up when canning. Its already hot and humid, and standing over a hot stove, stirring a hot pot of hot jam, while a hot canning kettle is boiling away does nothing to help. It's a good thing I made a pan of brownies last night to help take my mind off the heat. I think there's about a third of a pan left.

On the upside, I'm reading the Messies Manual (um, I swiped after you and Anna left today Mom), and we are having pizza tonight with a new herb crust recipe, and my herbs have survived thus far, so I can go pick them out of my very own front yard! I think sausage, pepperoni, bacon and onions will top them nicely. And lemonade to drink. And brownies if there are any left.
