One of my favorites. I've made it twice now, and it goes together like a dream, and looks great to boot! This is the more recent one I made at the end of May. Love the mandarin collar, and just a slight gather on the sleeve. And $2 a yard clearance fabric with buttons salvaged from another project. I folded the top in a little once it was done, because I looked like I was choking, plus, I can wear a necklace now.

ooooooh! I LIKE!!!
I LIKE A LOT!!!!!!
Very Cute! And I love the print! I'm curious, how long does it take to make a shirt like this one?
I really like this blouse!! Did it take you long? So have you been sewing long? I piddle around w/ sewing but well mostly make house stuff and sleeping shorts for the guys. I see it is available in a wide range of sizes which is good!
This actually sews up pretty quick- I'm guessing 3 hours from start to finish, with littles underfoot.
Peggy- I got my first sewing box at age 5 or 6, and have been sewing ever since(23-24 years?). I am largely self taught, though my grandma guided me through my first few clothing items.
i sew the majority of my own clothing, I'm a tough fit, and a bit picky about store bought clothes, so this works for me.
This style is very becoming; and your fabric choice is perfect. I'm making a note of the pattern number, because I think this style might just work for me, too.
Thanks for sharing.
It looks beautiful...gee, sure wish I could sew! HA! :-)
Blessings!
Amy
very, very pretty. what lovely fabric. you are clever!
Hi Bonnie, nice shirt! I was just catching up on your blog, so I appologize for how late this is. However, I must say that I got a good chuckle out of your "messies" post. (And I quote)...
"I see that the toys need sorted through, not just cleaned up. I see that the drawers need straightened, not just clothes put away. I don't have time just now to do all that, so why bother ?"
Are you kidding me? I could have written that!! Now, of course I realize that I don't have my own home or family-yet-but still, the whole thing could have been talking about me. :) It must simply be a trait of amazing oldest sisters. :D
