Things I've Learned About Canning:

Turning the burner on, really speeds things up.

Funny how that works! Like I said, I just forget to make dinner when I'm canning. Seriously--didn't I just make dinner yesterday?!? :)
BTW--I saw your comment about herbs in the beans. It's funny, with cooking I love to add all sorts of herbs and things, but with canning I've stuck to the recipes like glue, no variation. Maybe I should rethink that! My herbs are going nuts right now. Thanks for the idea.

Cute! I have been canning pickles and last weekend tried blueberry jam for the first time. My grandmothers canned but were gone before I was old enough to benefit from their knowledge. I told my husband that I was born to can. ;-)

We have crabapples in our yard too and are rural. Country life is a blessing from God above. A great place to raise our three blessings and something that I am thankful for.
