This was not a challenge I liked. Just so you know. I don't like pictures of myself- my nose looks huge, and my lips are to big for their own good. Add sick children and crummy weather into the mix, and I almost passed on this. But Rebecca would've scolded me (wink!).
Obviously, I don't know when to stop, so here are a ton. With another post tacked on at the bottom. I hope your eyes aren't smarting.
(all right, I do kinda like this one. thats why its on my profile)

Yes-I would have scolded! :-) But I am going to scold you now too:
you are a beauty and you cut yourself short! Look at your children-the ones with your nose (which is also MY nose) and gorgeous lips. I bet you love those things on them.
And they are YOURS. They came from YOU!
Last time I checked, nice lips are a huge perk. (Just ask Angelina)
I do love the top one because of the little smile dimple you have. What a beautiful expression.
But I also love that one with your hat on. I would LOVE to play with that one. Would you mind if I saved it my computer and played with it a bit? I will give it back to you---promise! (But not before printing one out and putting in on my fridge.) I think with a different crop that and the one about it would be really striking. If you will let me play, I would love it. If that weird you out---just let me know.
Oh Bonnie, you are beautiful! Ok this may sound crazy but I love your eyebrows. Okay its a crazy thing but I love eyebrows and eyes. I love the hat! I love hats and scarves!
And today was the FIRST time I have gotten to hear the music on your blog... Have I mentioned I love having high speed internet... All those years of dial-up!
By the way, who is Mindy Smith? I've never heard of her before but really, really like her! Goose bumps cover my arms right now!
You are freakin' adorable!!!!! WHY did you hate this challenge?? OMG. You look like a super fun woman to know, and your soul is beautiful.
Now I am enjoying your soundtrack. :-)
I LOVE, LOVE these pictures! #4 is just SOOOOO awesome! It's got like a bit of sass to it! :)
Great, great job!
you are fearfully and wonderfully made! :)
Many blessings!
Amy
Love all your photos!!!
All your self-critiques are silly, you know. Especially that about your lips. Golly geeeeee don't you remember all those Hollywood types, who pay money to have their lips injected and pumped?!? And you got yours, for free!!!!! :-)
But oh yes I know, vanity does bop us. Even I, at 72, am not pleased with hardly any pic taken of me. And one would think that by 72, any woman would have gotten past the thing of vanity boppppping her. -giggles-
Sorry about the crummy weather and sick children. But so glad you [and I] raised to Rebecca's challenge. I do need something like this, to prod me into more use of my digital camera. Since I used to have a lot more fun with it, than of late.
Tell Aunt Gloria that I am proud to be told that I remind you, of her. And I like you too!!! You look warm and sweet and "happy in your skin," as the French say. A very, very lucky way to be.
Plus, I love the sound of the name of your blog "Crabapple Pond." Warm and homey and cozy sounding. I always fall for blog names which are warm and cozy sounding. :-)
Glad to have met you, via Rebecca.
Gentle hugs,
Aunt Amelia
I had to laugh when I read your intro that said your nose was huge and your mouth too big.. we always see what we think are our flaws with exaggeration. You are so perfect..so very beautiful.
I love the first and third pictures the best..you show that genuine happiness
OK, first of all, I think you look BEAUTIFUL!! But then again, I am the same way about myself. I hate pictures of myself and can pick out faults with my whole face and hair. I LOVE the first picture of you looking out the window You look so lovely! I agree with letting Rebecca play with the one of you in the hat. It is great, but she can make it POP! And I just had to laugh at "photogenic people who know how to take their own pictures" because that is SOOOO not me!
I'm amazed to find there are so many of us low self-esteemers out there, I thought I was one of the few!
I Love your Smile, I love the pics of you with your hat, and I Love the post right below this one (especially the first shot- It's ADORABLE!) :)
You are a lovely woman, really and truely!
My favorite photos are the first one (love the dimple and smile) and the one with the hat (so fun). You are beautiful.
Bonnie,
You pictures are lovely. My two favorites are the shot of just your eyes and the one of you wearing the hat and touching the brim.
You have the loveliest shade of green eyes.
Great work!!
Love the first one, it looks like you are gazing at something very pleasant and makes me wonder what it is. Every picture that I take of myself looks like a police line up shot. It's HARD to take a photo of yourself! It's pretty hard to look relaxed and happy when you are trying to get the camera angle just right!
And the first thing I notice about you are your beautiful green eyes. Mine are kind of green too--yeah, the kind I had to pay for! {colored contacts-- hee, hee!} I've always dreamt of having "colored" eyes...
And when everyone else's lips are drying up with old age, you will still have a beautifully pouty pucker!
