I haven't canned ANYTHING yet. Nothing. Nada. Except the meat I canned this spring. BUT, we harvested our first few tomatoes this week (and promptly ate them up) so I think it will be coming. I started a batch of pickles and they MOLDED by the time I got to can them (the recipe said to brine them for 6 days and by the fourth day they were gross.) I wondered then about the six days but trusted the recipe.

Your header is so delicious looking. I just came across a vanilla bean peach preserves recipe that I WILL be trying as soon as my peached come.

And the fair is coming sooN! yay! I might even contribute something if I get my rear in gear in time. ;-)
