10 lbs. 4 oz. 23 inches long.
Sweet baby Claire, to their complete surprise, was born with a lot of pretty serious health issues, including both halves of her skull not being fused together, and dwarfism. She was healthy enough to room with Julie last night, but ended up in the NICU (or equivalent) last night, needing an IV. This morning, she was being transported to the local Children's Hospital for more testing, etc.
If you could send up a prayer for Dan and Julie, Danny jr. and Claire, for the Lords healing and peace, we would all be very grateful. Can't wait to see this new little darling and squeeze her! (Mom said she has fat rolls! but first I'd like to kick my cold that seems to be here to stay)
UPDATE: They've diagnosed her with Apert Syndrom. You can click on that and it will take you to a site with info about it if you're interested. There will be a series of surgeries, possibly starting as soon as Friday.

I'll be praying. I was wondering how it all went yesterday... Any idea how long she'll be in the hospital?
Oh, and I made your eggnog snickerdoodles. They were a hit - thanks for the recipe!
COngratulations to your brother and sister in law on the birth of their baby girl! She is fearfully and wonderfully made, and a gift. Praising God for a safe delivery and time together for Mama and baby.
Now that they have the syndrome pegged is that in addition to dwarfism or was dwarfism something that they had originally speculated at?
Praying for God's peace to light upon them all during this time of transition, for strength and as the Lord allows, healing.
Speculation, the Apert Syndrome will cause her to be short. Good thing is, a lot of people with this, go on to lead pretty normal lives.
I saw pictures, and she is the CHUNKIEST little doll!
Great news-the last part! (understatement of the year)
I was wandering around Pinterest and one thing led to another which led me to this post which made me think of you. Maybe you could glean some ideas from it if indeed this is one of your Christmas projects in the works? AND of course, if you are not yet DONE it and can still play around with options.
Otherwise, just feast with your eyes for the fun of it.

I love the vintage silhouettes and think the magnet board and use of cds is positively brilliant.
Oh my goodness, Bonnie, my heart aches for your brother and his family as they deal with such an unexpected outcome. Yet I know that I know that I know that I know that God brings beauty from ashes and rejoicing from disappointment. I'm praying for sweet Claire and for everyone in her/your family.
Will be praying!! :( I love the name Claire!
