oh my GOODNESS. That was hilarious. The roast beef trick was the best. ha!
I don't know about you but I was kinda disappointed in Downton Abbey toward the end. It was beginning to feel more soap opera-ish what with the whole random (and hypocritical) secret relationship between the father and the maid. I mean, one thing I liked about Downton was that everyone had....well....upstanding characters. Like Bates never being a rat, no matter what it meant. Turning the father into an adulterer turned me off to it a bit.
Now-I don't know if that means I won't finish WATCHING it, mind you. ;-)
For now, I am really REALLY enjoying Little Dorrit on Masterpiece now (I watch it online) It is awesome. Little Dorrit is played SO well and is such a sweet soul. When it comes out in video we will be watching it as a family for sure.
I had never read Little Dorrit, but I intend to now!
EXACTLY, word for word my thoughts on Downton. I'll give season 3 a chance, but if the crap keeps up, I'm done. I haven't watched Little Dorrit yet-mostly because Dickens can be kinda depressing : )
Welcome to Crabapple Pond! I'm Bonnie; I'm 33, wife of 9 years to B., and momma to Honey-8 yrs., Biscuit-6 yrs., Muffin- 4 yrs., Beans-2 yrs., and Sprout- born late summer 2012.
We live on a small wanna-be "back-yard farm" in the rural Mid-West, and have a few acres with-you guessed it- crabapple trees and a pond.
I am a born again Christian, and I strive to serve Christ through my family.
God is good and life is grand.
