I had planned on sewing this week. I couldn't wait to do sewing this week. Cool rainy fall days are *made* for sewing. Especially after small people are down for naps. That's when you make a mug of hot chocolate, put on a Focus on the Families The Chronicles of Narnia CD, and sew.
But since the above picture is obviously NOT a fabric creation, sewing obviously has NOT happened.
B. brought home 2 huge bags of hot peppers from a co-worker. I knew he was bringing some, but I thought maybe a plastic grocery bags worth, not two paper grocery bags packed to the top. I'm guessing 20-30 lbs. I forgot to weigh the until I was half way through the second bag. My FIL took half a bag, and my mom took about 1/3 of what was left of that. Wednesday and Friday I canned the rest. 17 jars of Hot 'n' Sweet Pepper Rings, and 20 jars of pepper butter(mustard).
I tallied up how much I've canned this year, and unless I missed something, I put up 162 jars of various canned goods. I'm quite pleased.

And you should be pleased! That's incredible!!!
Wish you lived closer so you could use some of the jalapenos going to waste in our garden. Jeff & I keep on talking about making salsa--he's "famous" for his homemade salsa--and canning it, but it hasn't happened yet. So there the peppers hang--colorful but unused!
Wow Mrs. Bonnie, that's awesome! Don't know how you accomplished all that with the "small people" around! I do miss the tab on your blog that said "In My Larder." I thought that was so cute!
oh my word, Mrs. Bonnie. I am so embarrassed :( I thought I was posting a comment to your blog and it was some girl I don't even *know*'s blog! It was a recipe for potato salad. I thought it was your blog and this is what I wrote:
Ok, missy, why haven't you linked one of your delicious recipes to my fall favorites post?
I'll be waiting... ;P
I sound like some sort of stalker... oh goodness, how embarrassing. But truly, I am still waiting...
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! I laughed out loud at you New Mom! I'm still laughing!!!!
