Two Much Birthday

I can hardly believe that my two little ones looked like this just last year,
Honey having just turned 2, and Biscuit arriving the next day. And now they are so grown up. Much to fast for this Mama.
Notice the "bling" on her little ears?Biscuit makes this face everytime he sees the camera. He loved his cake.

We had a birthday party Saturday for both sides of the family, about 24 people. I set up a HUGE taco bar, fruit salad, and jello, and everyone got to create their own masterpiece. It worked really well, but I am up to my ears in leftover shells and tortillas. I opted for cupcakes instead of birthday cakes, and while cute, they were more work than I had bargained for.

Honey had strawberry cupcakes with vanilla frosting and marsmallow flowers.

Biscuit had butter supreme cupcakes with chocolate frosting and they are supposed to be monkeys, since we call him "little monkey boy", but they don't look as much like monkeys as the magazine picture. Oh well, cake decorating has never been my strong point.

We stayed home from church Sunday, being birthdayed out, and Mama cleaned up while the children played with gifts. Daddy built a fire in the stove when he got home from church ( He had to go for a deacons meeting), and now I must go to attend said fire, and admire the falling snow. Boy is it cold, maybe we'll have leftover chicken pot pie for breakfast...

Have a great Tuesday!

P.S. pardon any spelling errors, spell check isn't working!

Your cake-decorating skills are just SUPERB -- both trays of cakes look wonderful. Funny your babies being born so close together -- do you think you'll have combined birthday parties every year?

Thanks ladies, for your sweet comments! Hugs and kisses will be doled out when the munchkins wake up!

Morning- most likely, they are 2 years and one day apart, and actually had the same due date
(Feb.2) We keep joking that we are going to try for a 3rd one to be born on Feb.10, and since we have an A name and a B name, we'll go with the letter C. Haha!
