Here's what I've done to get my mind off it:
~Enjoyed the fat little feet of fat little babies in strawberry dresses~
~Had microwave s'mores to fend off chocolate cravings~
~De-frosted tomatoes which I used to can pizza sauce last night~
~Tried canning ground beef for the first time~
~Been thankful many times over for our pressure canner~
~Been thankful many times over for our pressure canner~(I didn't even notice until I had taken the picture that the kitchen window is reflected in the pressure gage- kind neat, huh?)

Hi,
Check back, the kitchen pics are up! My hubby went to MWSB!!! What a small world. What class year was your friend? I wonder if they know each other? I love s'mores!! But I've never tried them in a microwave, hmmmmm....LOL I would like to try canning ground elk or deer sometime also. I found a great magazine "Backwoods Home" where I found out how to do it. Check out their website. A lady named Jackie Clay writes for them and she is the "Canning Queen!"
Have a GREAT day!
Erica :)

I didn't realize that you could freeze tomatoes until you had a chance to can them. That's really a good little tidbit to know, because my tomatoes always seem to ripen in spurts. So I never really have enough at one time to make it worth canning.
Of course, this year I didn't have that trouble. There were very FEW tomatoes at all. PERIOD
My tomatoes are all green right now...*sigh* Great job with all the canning! And the feet are precious!!
From one baby feet love to another, blessings!
Amy
I thought the tomatoes were rather grey peaches, lol. The ice crystals looked like peach fuz. How are ya feeling?
