Photo Friday: Blue

The color blue was our focus this past week, and boy am I glad my MIL and I were talking about this when we visited them last weekend, otherwise, I would have no pictures. Photo Friday completely slipped my mind. I took all of these at her house. Thank-goodness she had lots of fun blue things!
This one is my favorite, the blue paperweight in blueish grass. And I like that its off center. Completely centered photos tend to be over rated I think. (Or maybe that's just 'cuz I take crooked pictures....)

I wish I could provide you with a scratch and sniff blog.  I love hyacinths.

Paperweight again, on their porch railing. The trees are upside down if you look.

I like the different textures in this one, the grass, a rough rock, and the smooth glass.

This one really made the bubbles in the glass pop. I contemplated cropping the plate out, but since it was blue, I left it.

And boy this picture makes ME blue: SNOW. We were in lightweight jackets and short sleeves yesterday. We were in shorts the day before. (well, B. and Biscuit were. We girls don't wear 'em) Its supposed to be back up in the 60's tomorrow. Whew!

More Blue photos HERE, and next week, our theme is YELLOW.

Third one down is my favorite. I love the upside down trees and the very clear bubbles. Good job!

So...you don't wear shorts...EVER?!? No wonder you always look so nice! Funny story:

Yesterday matt got home from a week away and we were all rightfully joyous. We were monkeying around outside and he showed Corynn how to do a cartwheel. I bragged "When I was a girl, I could do TEN cartwheels in a row without STOPPING" which I COULD, BTW. But I shoulda kept my mouth shut because then everyone wanted to see me do one. I was wearing a dress. I said no way. Then I thought-maybe if I go fast enough, the dress will just fly WITH me.

HA.

Didn't go fast enough.

THIS is why I wear shorts in summer sometimes. ;-) NOT pretty.

I agree with you....sometimes the neatest pictures are not the centered ones. I think that blue paper weight is so neat. You captures it in so many different areas to highlight different hings....Good job. I think my favorite one is the picture of the paperweight with the upside down tree reflection. I think pictures within pictures are really artistic.

I could use some spring flowers here.....though I will enjoy yours even without the scent :)

I like the first one, Bon. The off-centeredness is actually called the 'rule of thirds'.
