An urgent request

My brother Dan and his wife Julie just welcomed their first baby last Thursday, a plump boy, Daniel Jr. Julie had a C-section due to Toxemia (and high blood pressure?), and her blood pressure is not coming down. They are on their way back to the hospital as today its gotten dangerously high. Little Dan is with her mom, but she had nothing ready for leaving him, so I know that anxiety from that (and having to leave him) is probably not helping. if you could stop and send up a quick prayer that everything would go back to normal, so she can get back home ASAP, that would be appreciated.

If you are reading this, and coming to the shower Saturday, I'll let you know if we will be rescheduling, etc.
Thanks!

EDIT: They are admitting Julie, and allowing her to keep the baby with her. At some point they will be doing a CT Scan.
As of right now, we are going to cancel the shower, and try to reschedule for June 12.
I'll be calling tomorrow to let people know for sure.

Update #2: Julie is doing a bit better. Worst case scenario, she has chronic HBP, and will have to be on meds that won't allow her to nurse (which has her crushed), at best, its a strange case of lingering pre-eclampsia, so there will be a short period of time she won't be able to nurse the baby. She had a bladder infection which gave her a dandy fever, but that's down now to near normal. She's tired of being stuck with needles, but other than that is in good spirits!

I'm going to go succumb to my building cold now. Take out for dinner it is. Thinking requires to much effort, cooking may do me in.

I hope everything turns out well -- it's such a disappointment when a time that should be happy becomes worrying. Well done to you for being sensible and getting takeout -- sometimes you need little treats, too.

Hi Bonnie! I'm praying for your sister in law. Do keep us updated. Wanted to let you know that I've started a new blog. Hope you'll join me there from time to time.
