Rainy Saturday

(an old picture of Muffin, but it describes how I feel right now: Ugh. No, really, it can be time to wake up)

So, when was the last time I actually posted a real post? I don't have the faintest. Life has taken over, and blogging, once again, has taken a back burner. Unless you wanted to read more about the stomach flu and its joys. I managed to escape it, but I was the only one. Some bits and pieces of what is/was/ and will be going on:

~No baby shower today, and I'm praying Aunt L. got my message about that.

~Julie is doing much better, B.P. back down to normal. She had a Dr.'s appointment today, and they let her know just how close a shave she had. By a hair. The littles are still praying Aunt Julie feels better.

~ I had a nasty cold, that put me out for a whole day. On the couch watching I Love Lucy.

~ Plants have been bought, but not planted.

~Muffin has decided she hates her crib, though giving her *2* babies last night staved off the screaming for a few hours.

~I have used my Bosch nearly everyday.

~It occurred to me that taking the elastic *out* of a maternity skirt I made while pregnant with Muffin would make it fit longer. Duh.

~I am paranoid I will miss my 7:30am dentist appointment Monday.

~ Most of the upstairs is cleaned, I just have to dust, vacuum, and mop.

~ The kidlets are thrilled that I can finally read aloud to them again. Farmer Boy, before bed.

~We are done with school!

~ I need maternity clothes, Honey needs summer dresses and pjs, Biscuit needs shorts and pjs, and Muffin needs summer dresses (that fit) and pjs. LOTS of sewing ahead.

~Gingerbread scones for breakfast today!

In a rather large nutshell, but that pretty much sums it up. Hopefully, if I can tackle those sewing projects, I'll be posting pictures of them next week, but we shall see. Now, off to shower before small people are up.
Have a lovely weekend!

I have a hunkering to write you. A letter will come, soon, but I think I might write a book here too.

~SO thankful that Julie is doing well again. With Corynn, I had preeclampsia and the doctor said, if I started getting light headed and seeing stars to go to the hospital immediately. I did and when the nurses took my BP, she must have been new or something, she got this shocked look on her face and said "Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh! I need to get a different nurse to do this-this is too high-I have never seen a BP so high on a living person." What a dork. Praising God for that family.

~Your family always seems sick! Poor Mama! I know how hard that is, you have true endurance!

~Jealous about the school thing. REALLY jealous.

~I am so disgusted with my wardrobe (or lack thereof) I am intending a whole. long, woe-is-me POST about it. I know, no one wants to hear. I wish we lived closer, like next door, and after the childer are in their beds we could pop over to one anothers' house, sip some sweet tea and sew together. I have never successfully made myself anything. My torso is so long (being so tall) maternity shirts don't go down low enough and my bust is so big that maternity "princess" styles don't even get halfway down. It is really depressing. Not good for a girl who already has self-image problems.

What if we do a sew and share? Show me what you are sewing and I will show you. I have lots of sewing I *WANT* to get done but not the motivation to do it. Plus-my machine came back from the shop (a second time-the first time it wasn't fixed) and it works now but it sounds like a jet going off. Something is still amiss, so I think I will have to take it back. AGAIN.)

~I have my very first prenatal apt. on Monday. yay.

~Cinnamon rolls for breakfast today. With icing. And I put walnuts and oats in with the sugar. They were yum-o. I had three. I know I know, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to know why I have hit the 200# mark. ick.

Have a good weekend Bonnie!

Oh gracious, lets jack up a high B.P. more by freaking out on the patient!
We are glad too!

I passed the 200 mark a bit ago, and I'm about 4 inches shorter than you are- feel better?

A sew along- YES!!!! It will keep me motivated. The girlies here will be sporting some "happy-scrappy" (I hope its happy. scary-scrappy doesn't sound so fun) chic dresses here this year.
Good flipping grief, does that place *really* know how to fix machines? Have you tried oiling it?

Cinnamon rolls-yum! I'm thinking of making something yummy for breakfast tomorrow, but not sure what yet. Sundays are so busy, with 40+ minute drive to church.

I have been writing a letter in my head to you for a week, so maybe its time to finally get it on paper.
The sickies seem to be done (finally- we have NEVER been sick like this!), so I won't risk sending you germs.... :-)

I am available if you would like to come get me to watch the kids while you do all that!

You sound so ambitious! Glad to hear that Julie is better. Prayers are heard!

Thanks for the tip about the frozen cherries! I may have never thought of it!
