I didn't realize how much
adrenaline I was running on last week. I made the (huge) mistake of sleeping in this morning, only to find myself dragging even more, so a cup of coffee (and a big glass of ice water) have been my constant companions as I make myself go through the day: washing sheets, making a menu and grocery
list, and wishing I knew what will be said at my appointment tomorrow so I know better how to plan my week.
But, this post is not about how tired I am today, it is about how much fun we had last week!

The kids get the biggest kick out of these cut-outs.

Honey's flower (the all pink one) took first!

And her drawing placed 2
nd.

My sewing, which I thought bombed, all placed! I was so surprised!

My felt vegetables, which were arranged much nicer before judging...

More from Jellybean

No calves this year, but there were month old piglets

Carousel rides with Daddy...

... and my mom.

Eating a Gyro for ya '
Lish! Note the sauce running
down my arm...

It is tremendously fun to here small people trying to say the name of this tractor

An ACTUAL pink tractor!

I wish I could bottle this scent (hey Elisha, remember "Fair Perfume"?)

Loved all the gourds and squash

How cute is this idea?

And this, except for the blinding yellow?

No quilts really caught my eye this year but this one in the antiques barn

Biscuit with his drawing, I could kick myself for not taking another picture of his macaroni
alligator, it won second, and I was sure I had a picture of it, but I can't find it :o(

Yesterday evening

Kinda looks like to eyes and an open mouth...

Blurry, but as we were loading the van I realized I didn't get a leaving picture, which I ALWAYS do, so this will have to suffice.

Turn away if you are
squeamish, and this isn't as swollen as they have been!
My brother
informed me (the one day I was able to wear actual shoes) that my feet looked like bread dough rising from a pan.

The MOST surprising to me was my canning. I entered 13 items, 11 placed, and 9 were blue ribbons! I also entered White Chocolate Macadamia
Coconut Banana Bread (1st place), French Bread (1st place- Tracy, I used your recipe!), and oatmeal bread (placed last
year, but not this), and 2 types of oatmeal cookies (neither placed), and a bouquet of flowers which didn't place. It was kind of a down year for everything, but I've
noticed before that hot summers seem to have less fair entries.
And that is pretty much it. I did a terrible job taking pictures, I always realize the day after I missed taking pictures of ___________ .
Well, back to work, and I'll let you know what the midwife says tomorrow.

I feel like I won!!!! (WOOO HOOO!) Which is doubly nice since I didn't enter anything( not even sure when to see entires!!!) at my own fair.
Your poor feet, Bonnie. Mine swell, too, even when I'm not pregnant, so I feel your pain.
Oh! I'm just so thrilled for you! You did so well, as did your children! How pleased they must be with themselves! Congratulations!
( And I'm praying that your little one will turn, and that you'll have a good appointment tomorrow!)
Yikes! Those tootsies look sooo sore. I thought mine were swollen this weekend after cooking all day for the freezer. Mine look great by comparison!
Do let us know what happens at the appt tomorrow as I am praying. Also, requesting prayer for my cousin Heather who is having a c-section this afternoon.
Congrats on all your ribbons! :) I know the kids were loving theirs.
Praying for good news at your appointment tomorrow...I'll be blog stalking you. :)
WOW! Great job all of you at the fair! So, is this 4H stuff...like where you enter in an open class or something? :) I am so "fair-naive" or however you spell that!
Aww...your feet!!! Soon and very soon that extra fluid will be GONE! :P I will be praying for your midwife appointment, Bonnie!!!!!!
Your kids are adorable, btw AND my dd would have LOVED the pink tractor! :)
I had to laugh at the foot photo, because that was exactly what mine looked like with my firstborn. I love the fair pictures. We love the fair!
Congratulations on your ribbons. :-)
OH! I about burst into tears looking at the pics! *sigh* I just want to comment on EVERY one of them! Honey is really changing and looking more and more grown up! Good job with the sewing and canning! Whew! I think you should get extra points for doing it all while being pregnant :) They gyro has me salivating (should I say that on here?!) *LOVE* that quilt that you took a picture of! Wonder what pattern it is? It would probably take me a good 80 years to make it, though. Your comment when it comes to your feet picture had me cracking up! Bless you! Pretty soon it will all be a thing of the past. Your banana bread recipe sounds divine! I heard the weather was great all week. No major rain! (is that possible during fair week?) Fair perfume?!! How could I forget? I have to tell you, a few weeks ago I was out for a morning walk (before the sun comes up, still quite dark out) and at the end of our street they has just dumped a huge dumptruck load of mulch, the kind they use in the steer barns at the fair. As I was walking by, for a second I thought I could be at the fair - and I immediately thought of fair "perfume"! I think it's in my blood... Ok, well now that I've posted a book (a very random one at that) instead of a "comment" I will let you go. Praying for your dr. appt. today! I have one too...
I am SO jealous! I would love to see my own creations hanging on display. Next year I am TOTALLY travelling to the fair an hour away and contributing there. I love how your children entered things too! Start 'em young, I always say! Honey is such a beauty. They all are.
Yay for carousels! (And sneaking in a picture of hubs! hehehe) REALLY love that brown shirt you sewed, love the neckline. I want to see you where it--SOON!
