Q & A Post Number 1 : Easiest and Shortest

I got some very interesting questions! I'm somewhat categorizing them, and since I overslept this morning, and have lots to do during the kidlets nap time, I'm starting with the easiest ones first: (ahem)

From Amy:
Would it be okay if I sent you a REAL letter? I'm craving real letter writing lately!

Yes! I love getting mail!

How many brothers and sisters do you have? You grew up in a big family, right?

I am the oldest of 10 kids, I have 5 brothers and 4 sisters. (girl, 2 boys, girl, boy, 2 girls, boy, girl, boy) I'm the oldest and the "baby" (sorry Sam!) just turned 12. Starting with my sister Anna, they have all been "my" babies . I was 6 when she was born, and got to lug her around. We 3 oldest are all married, and my brother Dan and I and are the only ones with kids.

If yes ;), heehee, what was your favorite thing and your not so favorite thing?

One of my favorite things- always having babies around. Not so favorite- MASSIVE amounts of dishes to wash.

What is your favorite thing to drink?

I usually just drink water, but I do so love a really good cup of coffee, and also lemonade, the fancier, the better. None of that bottled/canned yellow slop that makes your mouth burn. Yuck.

What is your favorite book of ALL time?

I have a list that would stretch from here to Timbuktu (hmm, 'nother post idea...) but besides the Bible, A Tangled Web by Lucy Maude Montgomery. I read less and less fiction though, mostly how to stuff and craft books.

Am I being annoying yet?

Nope :0}

Are you done washing those stinkin' carpets yet?

Nope :0(

How'd you meet Rebecca? Online?

Yes, there used to be a blog called the Sparrows Nest, and Mrs. Wilt had a chatbox on the sidebar. Rebecca mentioned getting a hat at the thrift store and posted a link to it.
Here. I thought I commented but looking back, I didn't, but that's when I first found her blog and I've been stalk- er reading it ever since.

Have you guys met IRL? :D

We are scary alike, and no, we've never met. But I've been scheming how we could. Nothing workable has come to mind.

From Elisha (who I DO know in real life and grew up with, and miss dreadfully!):

What is your favorite thing to bake?

That depends on the day. Some days its cookies, some pie, some bread.

Least fav to cook?

Pretty much anything on the George Foreman grill. I hate, loathe, despise, and abominate cleaning that stupid thing. B. loves it and calls it Gods gift to bachelors, at which point I remind him he is married and that thing is nothing but trouble. He KNOWS I love him if I use it.

That's is for today, dishes must be done and tidying up.
Oh, and Newmom, I did get your email, I'll answer when I get to that post! Unless you want me to email you back, which is fine too, just let me know!

Alright, i'll try not to be jealous about all the potential penpals you got! :-)

Sorry I haven't gotten back to you. My husband FINALLY came back into town after being gone 5 weeks straight and has a few days off so my mind was...um...preoccupied.

If these few questions are too late, I completely understand~ you could always answer them in letter form too. (oh, how sinister I am!)

~ What is your favorite dessert ever? What is your favorite PIE ever?

~What smell do you love more than anything in the world?

~Did you and your husband discuss things like homeschooling and how many children you wanted BEFORE you got married?

~Were you a rebellious teenager and do you believe it is inevitable for teenagers to turn on you at some point?

~WHY haven't you been participating in FF?!?!? :D Been missing you....

Again, don't feel forced to answer any of these...

PS. It was neat to find out how you found my teeny tiny slice of blogdom. SO glad you did! Wouldn't be the same without you!

Rebecca, I am Bonnie's mom and so far I would say the rebellious teenage thing CAN be avoided, mostly. We only had one out of 10 that was rather rebellious, but not in an " I HATE YOU" kind of way. Strong willed children--ya gotta love 'em. That one is a great young man now!

I MISS YOU!!!
Your rendition of the george foreman grill cracks me up, mostly because it's TRUE!!! HAHA!!
When I cut up 5 pounds of carrots for my dear husband to snack on, he KNOWS I love him!
I'm with ya on fav things to bake, except I'm still honing my bread making skills..
