Do you have access to raw milk? Do you always make your own butter? If so, and no access to raw milk, heavy cream? PLEASE share your info. We go through pound after pound of butter, and I'd love to make my own. Enjoy whatever you read!
Love the peek at your home! Looks so comfy! Hope you had a lovely coffee break! What book did you pick? ;) I would have picked Anne of Ingleside or The Gentle Art of Domesticity if I had to pick quick and wanted something random! Otherwise, something in my pile of ongoings or something on my Kindle! :)
Do you have a yogurt maker? This is something I keep telling myself I MUST do, as often as we eat it and as many of us like it and as sweet as it is in the stores (though, honestly, I love the sweetness.)
You seem always so productive. Did I tell you that I got an electric, antique (but working) butter churn for Christmas this year? All set for that heifer calf except need to make sure we can afford to feed the thing! :-)
Welcome to Crabapple Pond! I'm Bonnie; I'm 33, wife of 9 years to B., and momma to Honey-8 yrs., Biscuit-6 yrs., Muffin- 4 yrs., Beans-2 yrs., and Sprout- born late summer 2012.
We live on a small wanna-be "back-yard farm" in the rural Mid-West, and have a few acres with-you guessed it- crabapple trees and a pond.
I am a born again Christian, and I strive to serve Christ through my family.
God is good and life is grand.
