*here is the icecream recipe I used, I cut it in half though, and added homemade graham cracker pieces
*here is how to make icecream with out an ice cream maker
* Strawberries were $13.50 for 8 quarts of you-pick. I picked about 12 quarts.
* The jars were in the oven to sterilize and stay warm before filling
* The kiddos just happened to all be smiling for those pictures. Muffin and Beans are my hardest to capture
*Yes, we have access to raw milk, and because of this, yes I make my own butter. I'm working on a tutorial for making butter, and will hopefully have it up this week (I'm missing 1 step)
* I read Country Livings ~Simple Country Wisdom~, a favorite and yes, I did enjoy my (very) short break
*Nope, I don't have a yogurt maker, and I have yet to be satisfied with a batch. The last one turned out okay, but I should've let it sit longer I think. No tang. Once I find the right combo of recipe and incubating, I'll let you know.
*Yep I think I remember you mentioning a butter churn, and yes I am jealous, of said churn and potential milk cow
I think that covered it all, and my Bible and a cup of coffee are waiting for me sooo, toodley-do!

LOL! :) Thanks for the answers!
Thank you, Bonnie!
Don't be jealous---I have yet to use it and we have yet to get a heifer calf. SO, you are a lot further along than me, m'dear.
I think the sterilizing in the oven idea is positively BRILLIANT (why I have never thought of that?). Back in the days of the dishwasher, that is how I did it. NOw I have been putting them in the canning water, but then you have to wait for the sterilizing before reprocessing so I am going with the oven method next. Gram always laughed at my efforts though because "olden days" people never worried about sterilizing them which I think is so funny.
Quickly: LOOK AT THOSE CURLS!!! Oh my. Such cuteness. Just got tickets to come in Aug 4-10. Gonna be around???? :)
