It's been a while. I'm blaming it on
bloggers block. I'd sit down to try and write and- nothing.
I think I'm getting over it though. Also, just the business that comes from being Mama to 4 monkeys has slowed me down.
Which brings me to:

Their 3rd day of school picture. I'm a stickler for taking them outside, and September has felt much like October and has rained. Nearly. Every. Day.
A first grader and 4 year old kindergarten. But school will save itself for another post. One where I have pictures.

Beans had the nerve to go and have his first birthday. We celebrated with homemade pizza which he loves, adores, and is
screeching for more of often before I've got my hand back to my plate from his tray.

Then we had cookies and cream cake, and
lawd-oh-mercy was it good. (I love
pinterest.
And their 6,000 wonderful sound recipe pins. and I'm trying to link to the recipe, but it won't :( )

Thankfully, he's not a real messy eater. Probably because its not on his plate or tray very long. This boy will eat anything, his favorite being crayons.

We paid a visit to the ice cream place over by my parents house- actually, we met up with my family there. They have 25 cent rides (and 1 penny horse), so my siblings and mom filled their pockets with change, and a good time was had by my
littles. I had a good time eating my
Hershey's Moose Tracks on a homemade-still-a-bit-warm waffle cone.

With the rain, and the fact that fall set in early, its getting dark out
earlier (totally feeling saying "No duh, really?").

So B. and the kids have been back to playing games before bed.

Beans is on the hunt for crayons to eat, but will settle for a school book. He's walking too. And climbing. Tables, chairs,
bunk bed ladders. We call him goat.

I hate oatmeal. My children love oatmeal, especially when I throw a glob of pureed pumpkin in it, with lots of cinnamon sugar.

I went out just a bit ago to see what was left in the garden, and gather any basil
that's still
salvageable.

I'll have to wait, the bees were positively basil flower drunk, and buzzed angrily when I bumped the plants trying to get my tomatoes.

Yep, Fall is in the air.

hmmm I'm no fan of plain oatmeal, but with that added pumpkin glob with cinnamon sugar sounds tasty! Tell me, how do yo puree pumpkin? Was it from the can or from a real pumpkin? I want to try it!
Blessings!

Oh and I forgot to add,
Your children are darling! I can't believe your little one is 1 already!
HONK! (I had to after seeing picture one.)
That first picture of your now ONE year old boy is so beautiful. How beautiful he is (in a very manly, powerful sorta way-just in case your hubby reads your comments). Happy birthday to him and his baby blues.
Our JBs seem like long distance twins like their Mamas. Judah was climbing (HIGH!) before he could walk. He climbed all the way to the TOP of the piano before I could get to him once! And he began walking a week or two ago too (but still crawls to go light-speed) and worst of all....is eating everything too. I *WISH* I only had to deal with crayons. Mine is more the variety of Adeles' poo which she didn't flush.
Yes.
I DID die. A thousand deaths. uuuuughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
Can I steal your children? They are all so precious. And I make oatmeal ALL the time so...they would like it here I am sure.
I got your letter yesterday. I have read it about 30 times since.
Thank you.
Awww...your kids are positively super sweet! :) Your oldest daughter looks so grown up!
What a great idea with the oatmeal...I second the pp on how you go about making it!!! We eat oatmeal by the ton here actually. ;)
Those 25 cent rides etc sound PERFECT.
Happy Birthday to your Beans! :)
PS - I "tagged" you in a "meme" on my bloggie! :)
Oh my. He looks SO grown up! Wishing we could chat and enjoy fall weather TOGETHER! It's been a bit crazy here... thus my lack of posting. I've got to get on it...
