House Special Fried Rice

If you've been reading this blog for awhile, you probably know that I'll eat pretty much anything for breakfast, and so it should come as no surprise that fried rice is what I ate today. That has absolutely nothing to do with my post, just thought I'd share.
No, my post today is to regale you with all the thrilling (cough cough) details of my crazy busy last week, and crazy business of these next 2 weeks. Get comfy, this will be boring.
Last week, Tops and I finally had a date. You'll remember that we were supposed to do this a month ago. Well, we ended up at Wendy's. Nothing like gazing at your beloved over hamburgers and french fries in a busy fast food joint. We didn't even get a frosty.
This was a a bit more romantic, as we went out for Chinese, then back to my parents for the kids and birthday desserts.
Thursday, I got to spend my birthday at the pediatricians for well checks, but I also got to go to the Happiest Place on Earth -Joanne Fabrics (where did you think I meant?).
I got fabric for a new dress and a hat, and a hat pattern, and a few little sewing things I needed.
The hat is almost done, and that brings me to this weeks business: sewing a dress for me, and Honey, and her beloved doll Emily, and baking 1000 cookies. Yes, you read that right, 1000. As of yesterday, I'm 336 cookies into it. Fortunately, I can work on them next week too, but I have my moms giant mixer right now, so I'm doing as much as I can.
Next week, is a special guest speaker night at church, and refreshments have been requested. Guess who is helping her poor stressed out husband by shouldering this part of the load?
I also get to go to the party store this week for supplies. I am most certainly nuts. I seem to think I'll get all this done, and still keep my sanity, and spotless house. The actual cleaning just this very moment got dumped 'til next week. There, I feel better.

1000 cookies? My goodness -- you are brave. I guess the first 300 might be fun ... but after that? What kinds have you chosen to make?

Wow- That was a little strange, I hadn't even left my blog yet, and you had commented!
I 'm making chocolate chip, oatmeal raisin, and sugar cookies.
I'm also thinking a bout making some quick bread( no yeast).
If I make 8 loaves, and get 15 slices out of each, then quarter them, its nearly 500 pieces, and I'm planning for 250+ people.
We'll see.

1,000??? I admire your level of sacrifice! Couldn't someone else help out, too? I think if I were in your shoes, I would be buying bags of Oreos. :)
