A New Summer Hair-Do

I was so tired of my same old boring wear-it-up-in-a-pony-tail-or-claw-clip hair. It wasn't holding much of a curl, and I needed a change. So I cut it. And I love it. I feel much more grown up, and I still like it even when I haven't done anything to it, and that says allot!

I've just been trying to catch up on things around the house, then I thought I would have jury-duty this week, so I did extra last week to make up for being gone. But, I wrote a polite letter to the office, explaining that I understood the need for serving as a juror, and I would cooperate if chosen, but that I was a full-time homemaker, I had 2 small children, one still nursing, and I was expecting a third baby, so that would make serving a bit difficult. Wouldn't you know it, Thursday morning I got a phone call telling me I had been excused! Yippee! Actually, I think it would have been interesting, but very hard on Biscuit for me to be gone so long/much.

I planted all my porch pots, I can't believe how fast they are filling out!
The garden isn't in yet, but hopefully it will be this weekend, I'm getting antsy about it.

I promise the new blog will be up next week. If its not, you can tickle my feet (and that's saying something, because I HATE having my feet tickled).

More tomorrow with photos of fun discoveries around the yard.

I'm with you on the tickled feet issue...I think one of the reasons Jeff and I have had 11 (in a few days) extremely happy years of marriage is because he's respected my wish that he never tickle my feet. :)

I was called for jury duty several times when we lived in San Diego. Once I got so far as to actually be in the courtroom; but when it came to jury selection, I was released by the defense...probably because it was a drug-related case, and the defense attorney didn't think I, as a minister's wife, would be extremely sympathetic to his client! It was interesting to see the beginning of the process though...an inside look at our judicial system.

I'm glad you're alive and well! The haircut is great!!!

If only I could write a nice letter and get out of being a witness. I am waiting for a call telling me when to appear for trial #2...should be any day (they've been hanging this over my head since last Tuesday).

Will call you sometime soon!

You look great -- isn't it amazing how much more 'grown up' a hairstyle can make you feel?
