A HUGE compilation of everything that has been done over the last week. (Get comfy, there are a LOT of pictures)

~Hot (like eyeball
crossingly, taste-buds burned off if you aren't careful hot) pepper jam.
Now that is orange.

~
Cubby holes discovered

~ My dish washing helper. Anytime she finds me at the sink, I can be sure a chair will find its way to the counter, and I will be regaled of the doings of a Muffin-girl. All spoken in Muffin-
ese of course. I'm a little rust on my translations....

~This, this was a B.A.D. day.

~Eager hands and mouths, helping to dry apples

~Local strawberries, from start....

... to finish. 11 half pints, with nearly 5 more quarts flash frozen and waiting for the next jam day.

~Sandy baby hands

~Flowers on the porch

~Canning plans made in the shade of the garage, while little ones ride bikes and chase bugs

~ A new
tote-bag, properly broken in at the
home school convention
~ Or made into french toast for dinner last night

~Muffin profiles

~Biscuit Boys "
Sthand Casthles"

~Flowers gathered

~ Bouquets given

~ And taken upstairs to beautify bedrooms
I did make 2 maternity skirts, which I will hopefully put up pictures of by Friday, along with a few other tid-bits.
The meatballs and sauce need stirring, oh, and before I go, I am working on posting my favorite canning recipes, and a few good canning book titles in the Kitchen, I'll let you know when they are up.
Warmly,
Bonnie

Oh, I am so lazy compared to you! I got tired just reading this. Good work! Love the picture of the hot pepper jam.
LOVE this post! I can live vicariously with you in the canning department! I did make for the VERY FIRST TIME strawberry freezer jam! :)
I love all these little day to day moments you captured, Bonnie! So cute! Love your bag and that BREAD WOWSERS! :D
WOW! Can I come over and play and bake and can???? I am so missing creating and growing and doing. sigh.
Apparently the LAZY DAZE of SUMMER doesn't come to your house. It looks like there will be LOTS of fair entries.
You have been very busy! I'm impressed with your small children and pregnant to boot. Lovely photos, Bonnie!
so not fair. Just wrote a crazy long comment and it didn't go through. argh.
Here it was, in a nutshell:
Loved this post. Loved the words, loved the pictures and wish you could post like this EVERY day. (Yes-I know-it can't be done, but that doesn't stop me from wishing)
Muffin at the dishdrainer was so cute!
Your dishwasher photo with "THIS WAS A BAD DAY" cracked me up. That says it all.
Your canning list is exhausting me just at reading it! But I do look forward to the recipes that you share!
I just borrowed a book out of the library called Blue Ribbon Recipes or something like that. It is a compilation of winning State Fair entry recipes. Some of the winners are SERIOUS about fair time and have won hundreds of ribbons! I have quite a list I would like to try...I bet you would like that book too.
happy final-days countdown! Can't wait to see pictures!
oh yeah-and ONE more thing. SO jealous of your dehydrator! It is topnotch! I have a $19.00 Walmart special. What is the brand of it? Does it have large holes on the bottom or fine ones? (like can you dry small things like corn without them falling through the holes?)
Loved this post! The bread you used for french toast looks amazing!
