Its kind of been one of those days around here today.
Kidlets sleeping in does not equate
kidlets getting along. Not today anyway. Lunch was early, math can be finished after rests.
I was eagerly anticipating MY lunch. The pesto pasta I made last August, and had squirreled away in the freezer. Yep, today was *definitely* the day for it. I had cherry tomatoes to saute with some onion for a sweet summery topping. Mmm. My mouth was watering!

I found out that homemade pesto pasta is absolutely divine fresh. It tastes like and has the
consistency of wet cardboard when frozen for 5 months. Drat.

To make up for that though, it is a GLORIOUS 53 degrees out today, but very windy. To windy to send the children out to run off some stink, but not to windy to hang out a load of towels.

I can't believe this was what yesterday looked like! They came in wet, muddy and chattering.

Here are whats left of the snowmen. Did I tell you I found
snow pants at the thrift store and bought 4 pairs for only $13? I grabbed every size I could find that we do/will need.

My day lilies! No sign of my daffs yet though.

This little gem of sunshine came back in with me.

Just a few more months.....

And that is all. Lunch dishes need to be done and the floors need swept and school needs completed. Happy Tuesday.
EDITED TO ADD: I stand corrected. It is to windy to hang out towels. 2 have vanished from the line and are laying in muddy heaps.

Oh dear. Sorry about the muddy heap! I was VERY envious of that full clothesline! I not quite ready for spring though as winter is perfect for cuddling a baby with books & tea! :)
Haha! Love the snowmen header!
In making the Pesto Pasta, did you just add pesto to your noodle recipe that is posted over in the kitchen???
I think I used a different recipe- I'm planning on getting it up today.
Hi Bonne
Thought I'd visit via Homemaker Ang's blog link! Your blog is lovely ( in fact I've added it to my reading list).
Sorry to hear about your towels ~ it must have been windy.
Have a wonderful day ~ I look forward to visiting again!
Blessings
Renata:)
I don't know how I must have missed this post. Maybe (and I give myself the benefit of the doubt) nasty blogger deleted my comment?
Anyway.
Your patch of earth looks very welcoming-I do not look forward to reestablishing (again!) a plot of earth for a garden. I can't decide where to put it either but our neighbors seem to think we won't be able to grow anything that won't be eaten by the deer.
Of course, they FEED the stinkin' deer right next door. ugh WHY do we always live next to deer feeders?!?
Anyway. Ah bulbs. Jealous. I hope some of what I transplanted survived but there isn't a lick of spring bulbs in the bunch. :-(
And I am very envious of the clothesline too. I do not look forward to rebuilding (for the THIRD time!) a clothesline and miss not hanging out the clothes. I do manage to hang jeans near the woodstove to get hard and crispy so that helps. I HATE drying jeans. They take FOREVER and still aren't a decent dry.
Happy valentines Day to you. I have a Valentine for you that I just found that I think will give you a chuckle-but you'll be getting it a bit late since I won't get it out until VALENTINE'S DAY. WHOOPS.
